The 4th International Cosmology School ‘Introduction to Cosmology’ will once again be held in Kraków on 8–22 July 2018. The organisers invite JU academic staff and students as well as everyone interested in astrophysics and cosmology to attend the event, which is organised under the honorary patronage of JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak.
Participation in the event provides a great opportunity to learn the basics of theoretical and observational cosmology, while at the same time gaining knowledge about the latest developments in these areas. The planned lectures and workshops will allow the participants to present the results of their own research and establish contact with other experts in the field.
The main subjects of this year’s edition will be:
- Large-scale structures of the Universe
- Dark matter and Dark Energy theory
- Cosmic Web
- Galaxy Formation
- Galaxy Surveys and astronomical observations
- Computer simulations
- Gravitational Waves and multi-messenger astronomy
- General Relativity
More information on the event can be found at its official website.
