JU strengthens relations with Korea University

On 4 July 2018 a meeting aimed at expanding cooperation between the JU and Korea University within the framework of the last year’s Memorandum of Understanding was held in Collegium Novum.

Jagiellonian University expands cooperation with Beiwai

On July 3, 2018 the programme board of the Jagiellonian University Centre of Chinese Language and Culture Confucius Institute in Kraków met in Collegium Maius. Two important agreements with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), commonly known as Beiwai, were signed at the meeting.

Jagiellonian University becomes part of UNA EUROPA network

On June 29-30, 2018 a meeting of the recently established network UNA EUROPA was held at the Catholic University of Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) in Belgium. The network consists of six universities: KU Leuven, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Università di Bologna, Freie Universität Berlin, Complutense University of Madrid and the Jagiellonian University.

JU to strengthen ties with Palacký University Olomouc

On 2 July 2018 the Jagiellonian University was visited by a delegation from Palacký University Olomouc – one of the leading Czech institutions of higher education. The meeting aimed to explore the possibilities of collaboration between the two universities.

JU signs an agreement with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

A cooperation agreement between the Jagiellonian University and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia was signed on 29 June 2018 in JU Collegium Novum. It envisages the construction and operation of the Laboratory for Structural Research into Macromolecules and New Materials at the National Synchrotron Radiation Centre Solaris.
