The bicycle trips offered by the Jagiellonian University Sports Office are addressed to JU staff and their closest family members. The project is aimed to promote bicycle tourism and active ways of spending free time. Inhabitants of Kraków are often unaware of the unique tourist attractions of towns and countryside around their city.
A bike tourism instructor is present at each of the trips, which take place along bicycle and hiking trails as well as low-traffic roads. The routes are chosen to allow the participants to engage in physical activity at the same time discovering the beauty of the landscape, along with the history, tradition and culture of the region. The trips include additional attractions, such as visits to historic sites and museums. Each trip will include a lunch break. In the case of equipment failure or health problems, it is possible to quickly and safely return to Kraków by means of public transport (buses, minibuses, or trains).
More information about the trip is available in Polish on the JU Sports Office Website.
