The 68th edition of the Congress of the Association of Polish Surgeons is organised jointly with the 21st Annual Meeting of the European Society of Surgery and the 2nd European Meeting of Residents and PhD Students in Surgery. Presentations, discussions, and training sessions will therefore feature experts from around the world, facilitating future cooperation and exchange of ideas.

The programme will be very broad, from cases of acute conditions to oncological surgery to latest technologies and basic research in surgery. Throughout the duration of the Congress, discussion will take place in six rooms, amounting to over 150 hours of debates.

Approximately 2,500 surgeons from Poland and abroad will attend the congress, many of whom are employed at leading  international research and medical centres. The participants will discuss the possible ways to make it easier for young surgeons to cooperate with specialists from other countries, particularly in the areas of low invasive, endoscopic, and laparoscopic surgery. The Congress will provide an occasion to assess and develop new methods of teaching of surgery. Additionally, seven workshops will be held in various surgery clinics.

The Congress is organised under the honorary patronage of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
