Jagiellonian University researchers participate in 3 international projects from the field of quantum technology selected for funding by the Call Steering Committee of QuantERA Call 2017.
QuantERA is a network of 32 organisations from 26 countries supporting research in quantum technologies, coordinated by the National Science Centre, Poland. It has a budget of over 34 million euro, co-funded by the European Commission.Out of a total of 26 awarded projects, there are 9 involving Polish scientists. Researchers from the Jagiellonian University participate in the following three projects:
- NAQUAS: Non-equilibrium dynamics in Atomic systems for Quantum Simulation, involving Prof. Jacek Dziarmaga (JU),
- QTFLAG: Quantum Technologies For LAttice Gauge theories, involving Prof. Jakub Zakrzewski (JU),
- TheBlinQC: Theory Blind Quantum Control, involving Prof. Krzysztof Sacha (JU).
“The results of the contest indicate the strong international position of Polish research in the field of quantum technologies. Polish Scientists are highly valued by foreign partners. Our teams contribute their unique knowledge and experience to the projects, which is essential to their successful realisation”, stresses Prof, Konrad Banaszek, QuantERA Scientific Coordinator.
