New directions in American foreign policy. A lecture by Prof. Peter J. Katzenstein

On 23 May 2017 at 11.00 a.m., a special lecture by a distinguished political scientist Prof. Peter J. Katzenstein from Cornell University, entitled ‘New Directions in American Foreign Policy after the 2016 Presidential Election’, was held in the JU Collegium Novum Assembly Hall.




The lecture was organised by the Kraków branch of the Polish Society of International Studies and the JU Institute of Political Science and International Relations. It concentrated on the events that led to Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 presidential election in the USA as well as possible future scenarios.

The video recording of lecture will soon be available on the Jagiellonian University YouTube channel.

Peter J. Katzenstein is one of the most important constructivists in modern international relations studies. The results of a study entitled Teaching, Research, and Policy Views of International Relations Faculty in 20 Countries have shown that he is found to be one of ten most influential thinkers in this area.
