The aim of the conference is to present Polish-Slovakian relations, both past and present. The conference will be based around three themes: politics, culture, and economy.
The organisers believe that it will allow for a broad perspective on mutual influences between Poland and Slovakia. The following presentation topics are suggested:
- systemic transformation,
- legal issues within the European Union,
- mutual cultural inspirations along with their historical context,
- economic relations, the problems of euro,
- collaboration as part of the Visegrad Group,
- security policy,
- Intermarium and the geopolitics of the Carpathian region,
- history of Polish-Slovakian relations,
- Poland and Slovakia in the media,
- special forces,
- mutual influences in law-making,
- communist period.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the conference, the organisers invite experts in history, political science, sociology, law, culture studies as well as other researchers investigation the relations between Poland and Slovakia.
The participants of the event will deliver 20-minute presentations in panels comprising several people.
