The exhibition includes medieval manuscripts in Italian and Greek, splendidly illuminated friendship books, rare manuscripts by 18th and 19th century writers and scientists, as well as items from a collection of oriental manuscripts, xylographs and prints.

The exhibition "Former Prussian State Library collection kept in the Jagiellonian Library: the current state and prospects of research" illustrates the results of the completed and ongoing research and editorial projects.

The exhibition is open on Monday from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and from Thursday to Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

The collection of the former Prussian State Library kept in the Jagiellonian Library is one of the largest and most valuable European library collections. As a result of the Second World War the items came to Kraków, where since the 1980s they have been available to researchers from Poland and abroad.
