Interdisciplinary student conference SeMPowisko 2024

SeMPowisko is an annual event organised for 22 years by the JU Mathematics and Natural Sciences Student Association. The aim of the conference is to provide students with the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in different areas of exact sciences. The participants can present the results of their own research and listen to presentations from many different areas.

Manggha and Manga: The Many Faces of Japan

In 1994 Krakow witnessed the opening of the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, created on the initiative of the Kyoto-Krakow Foundation of Andrzej Wajda and Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda. The name of the Museum is a tribute to the collector of Japanese art, Feliks Jasieński (1861–1929), who, fascinated with Japanese woodblock prints, adopted this artistic pseudonym. The conference marks the 30th anniversary of Manggha foundation.
