Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School 2018

The second edition of the Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School has started on Monday and will last until 21 September 2018. The Summer School is organised by the Chair in Intellectual Property Law of the JU Faculty of Law and Administration.

The topic of the 2018 Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School is Manoeuvring between limitations, exceptions and infringements of IPRs. The dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration Prof. Jerzy Pisuliński has officially opened the Summer School. The keynote speaker Prof. Maciej Szpunar, Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union, has delivered a lecture entitled The European Law and New Technologies.

The lectures organised as part of the Kraków IP Law Summer School are conducted by widely recognised specialists in the area of intellectual property, both from foreign universities (Prof. Lior Zemer from Radzyner Law School in Israel and Dr. Peter Mezei from University of Szeged in Hungary) and Polish ones (Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Polish Academy of Science, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw).

The participants of the Summer School are law students and legal professionals – attorneys, academic staff, technology scouts etc., coming from over 20 different countries, from Brazil to the Philippines.

The partners and sponsors of the Summer School are WIPO, the Polish Patent Office, Barta Kaliński Law Office and KOPIPOL – Association of Copyright Collective Administration for Authors of Scientific and Technical Works.
