A photo-book Les plus belles universités du monde (The most beautiful universities in the world), created by photographer Guillaume de Laubier and university professor Jean Serroy, allows for a sneak peek into places not everyone can visit on a daily basis.
The book takes us on a journey through the most beautiful universities in the world, from the noble University of Bologna, the oldest university in the Western world, to the high-tech modern universities in Lausanne and Doha. The pictures show beautiful architectural heritage, while short descriptions enable one to learn more about the universities.
The album contains pictures of 23 universities from 14 countries, including France, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Great Britain, Canada and Qatar. We can admire amphitheatres, libraries, chapels, anatomical theatres, gardens and other unique places.
Guillaume de Laubier – photographer with over 25 years of experience in interior and architecture photography. He published several books, such as L'Esprit de vins (2010), Sarah Lavoine (2010), À la table des designers (2012) and Les plus beaux operas du monde (2013).
Jean Serroy – retired university professor, specialist in the field of 12th century literature and theatre, film critic. His latest work includes Entre deux siècles, 20 ans de cinema contemporain (2006), L'Écran global (in collaboration with Gilles Lipovetsky, 2007) and L'Esthétisation du monde (2013).
The album was published in French and English by La Martinière publishing house.
