The International Veterinary Students’ Association is organising the 67th IVSA Congress, which will be held in Kraków between 16th and 27th of July 2018. Over 200 veterinary students from all over the world will participate in this event. Its main part are General Assemblies, various lectures and workshops as well as tourist attractions and social events aimed to familiarise the participants with Polish history and culture.

Being nominated and chosen for the host of the Congress is a huge honour not only for the University Centre for Veterinary Medicine of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Agriculture, but for the whole country. It is the biggest and the most prestigious event organised by and for the veterinary students.

New members of the board for the academic year 2018/2019 will be chosen during the event. The educational part of the congress will be devoted to topics such as pets, farm animals and livestock, horses, exotic animals, and working animals.

The title of this year’s congress – ‘Wellness’ – describes the main issues which will be discussed over its course, chiefly related to health, most notably mental health and stress. These issues are often neglected by the veterinarian community, resulting in various psychological problems.

IVSA is a non-profit organisation made up of veterinary students from around the world. Its activities include organising local and international events which allow its participants to gain knowledge and experience in their future professional career.
