Jagiellonian Spring of Physiotherapy 2018

The conference will be the 5th in the series of meetings devoted to issues in physiotherapy. Well-known experts from Poland and abroad will present the latest developments regarding innovative physical therapy methods and improving the quality of life of elderly patients. The event is organised under the patronage of JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak.

Old age is invariably related to many diseases and illnesses. Custom-tailored physical therapy can improve (in some cases – significantly) intellectual and physical capacity of a patient, which in turn allows them to remain independent and autonomous in their everyday life. New treatment methods in physiotherapy may contribute to reducing patients’ pain and suffering, giving a boost to their confidence and granting them a more positive outlook at the autumn of life.

Conference topics:

  • Session I: Rehabilitation in neurology
  • Session II: Rehabilitation in geriatrics
  • Session III: Rehabilitation in internal medicine
  • Session IV: Rehabilitation in movement system impairment
  • Session V: Rehabilitation in vascular medicine and podiatry
  • Session VI: Rehabilitation in pulmonology

Workshops:

  • Diagnostics and podiatric therapy
  • Deep tissue massage in thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Kinesiotaping of ankles in team sports

There is a possibility of publishing a full version of papers in a peer reviewed monograph and a journal. For the paper to be eligible, its needs to garner positive reviews, and its author has to participate in the conference. For more information, contact the organisers.
