The company is responsible for the construction of the European Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR).
Poland is one of the signatories of an international agreement related to the construction of this facility, and the Jagiellonian University has been appointed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to be the Polish representative in FAIR GmbH.
The committee met on 18–19 May 2016 in the Bobrzyński Room in Collegium Maius.
The meeting was attended by representatives from 10 partner countries (India, Finland, France, Russia, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Great Britain) as well as members of the company's board. They were greeted by Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds.
